INDIA IS A STUDY in contrasts. The fast-paced cosmopolitan style of life in the metros is difficult to imagine whilst traversing the vast tranquillity of her countryside. Elaborate, awe-inspiring architecture of the urban areas, complements the simplicity of rural homes.
This itinerary takes first time visitors, as well as those who want more, on a journey of discovery that begins in the capital city of Delhi and moves on to Agra, home of the Taj Mahal as well as other jewels of a golden era. Rajasthan is replete with sprawling, stone-faced forts that, perched high on craggy hilltops, are a marvel of defensive building. Elaborate palaces and richly ornamented temples dot the towns and cities with an exuberance that celebrates the skilled hands of the craftsman. The highlight of the tour is, perhaps, the ancient magic that fills the caves of Ajanta and Ellora near Aurangabad in Maharashtra.
