Day 1: Arrive Delhi
Meeting and assistance on arrival at International airport & transfer to hotel. On arrival, check in at the hotel.
Day 2: Delhi = Pathankot / Dharamsala (By Train, By Surface)
Transfer from hotel to the railway station to board train for Pathankot. Meeting and assistance on arrival at the railway station and drive to Dharamsala. On arrival in Dharamsala check in at hotel.
Dharamsala: Set against the magnificent backdrop of the towering Dhauladhar ranges, which rise up to more than 4000 meters, Dharamshala, which literally means The Holy Refuge, lies perched up on the high slopes in the upper reaches of the Kangra valley. Founded in 1855, it is one of the 80 hill resorts developed in the seventeenth century by the British to beat the heat and dust of the sweltering plains.
Dharamshala town is divided in flesh and soul into two halves, each with its own character. The lower Dharamshala is the main town at 1250 meters. The upper Dharamshala or McLeod Ganj from Dharamshala by road, it is a 10 kilometres drive, which takes almost the same time as you would, walking up the steep path. The only reason that you would like to visit lower Dharamshala would be to see the Kangra Art Museum, which has a treasure trove of the art and crafts of region. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Dharamsala
Visit Dharamsala which is divided into Upper and lower towns and the altitude varies from 1230m to 2000m. Dharamsala is also the seat of His Highness, the Dalai Lama, who now lives in Mcleodganj (1730m) in upper Dharamsala. It is also called the “Little Lhasa” in India. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4: Dharamsala – Chamba (By Surface)
Morning drive to Chamba (1900 kms) by covering approx. 270 kms. Among the most interesting objects in Chamba are a number of richly carved temples. On arrival, check in at hotel.
Chamba: Chamba town stands on the bank of river Ravi. It is one of the oldest princely state and dates back to the sixth century. It is well known for its splendid and beautiful architecture and also has a district headquarters.
Chamba is famous for its slippers,’rumals’ and beautiful shawls.
Day 5: Chamba – Traila (By Surface)
Drive to reach the road head Traila (2500m) by covering approx. 145 kms. From Chamba you will enter the Pangi valley which is a Lang of pretty faces, beautiful dances and scene ice splendour. On arrival, check in at the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Traila – Satrundi (By Trek)
Morning start first day’s trek to Satrundi (2900m) via a small village Bhanodi covering 15 kms. Today’s trek is through forest and ascends and descends up to Satrundi. Overnight at camp.
Day 7: Satrundi – Sach Pass – Bindrabani (By Trek)
After breakfast, start trekking to reach Bindrabani (14 kms) by crossing Sach Pass (4500m) which is a steep ascent of 05 kms from Satrundi. From the pass you can have a serene and beautiful view of many virgin peaks, hanging glaciers and towering mountains. Arrive Bindrabani (2750m) & camp.
Day 8: Bindrabani – Killar (By Trek)
After breakfast, trek to Killar (2400m, 11 kms) which is situated amidst criss crossing trails in a deep and narrow gorge of Chenab river. Arrive Killar and camp.
Day 9: Killar – Purthi (By Trek)
After breakfast, trek to Purthi (2200m). After covering 7-8 kms the trail turns east for Purthi. Purthi is a very beautiful place known for one of the best forest nurseries and historical rest house on the right bank of Chandra Bhanga. Arrive Purthi & camp.
Day 10: Purthi – Raoli (By Trek)
Start trek (14 kms) with moderate ascends & descends. Arrive Raoli & camp.
Day 11: Raoli – Manali (By Surface)
Drive to Manali (1920m) via Keylong (3350m). On arrival check in at hotel.
Manali: Situated in the central parts of the northern state of Himachal Pradesh, Manali is at the head of the Kullu valley. In Manali, one can find high mountains shrouded by silent snows and deep boulder strewn gorges.
There are thick forests, filled with cool breezes and bird song. There are fields of wild flowers, small picturesque hamlets and fruit-laden Orchards, especially apples. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 12: Manali
Full day at leisure or a tour of attractive places of Manali like Hadima Devi temple, Vashisht Hot Springs, Club house etc. can be taken. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13: Manali – Delhi (By Surface)
Morning drive to Delhi (12 hrs drive). Arrive Delhi and check in at hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 14: Depart Delhi
In time transfer from hotel to the international airport to connect for onward destination.
